Systems Lead - RF Data Link

Location: Bristol or Stevenage
Type: Contract, 12 months (extension possible)
Rate: £85 per hour (umbrella)
Clearance: Must be able to achieve SC

About the role
Lead the development and delivery of an RF data link within a weapons system programme, providing technical leadership to a small team of engineers on complex, cutting-edge projects.

Responsibilities

  • Requirements definition and management
  • Technical leadership of junior engineers
  • Managing suppliers and customer stakeholders
  • Leading design reviews and supporting validation
  • Managing project deliverables and technical risks

About you

  • Able to achieve SC clearance
  • Understanding of RF communication principles
  • Formal systems engineering knowledge
  • Experience leading a small engineering team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Defence or aerospace background ideal, other industries considered

Working pattern: 4-5 days on site, with some UK and potential European travel.
