Job Title: Field Test Technician

Location: Waterloo IA

Duration: Contract For 1 + years

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on diesel engines and related vehicle systems.
• Analyze and resolve issues involving electrical, electronic, and aftertreatment systems.
• Assist with maintenance, testing, and repair of diesel-powered equipment and vehicles.
• Support diagnostics and servicing of Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) systems.
• Utilize proprietary diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Document diagnostic findings, repairs, and maintenance activities accurately.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
• Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

Education

Minimum two-year degree in one of the following disciplines, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience:

• Electrical Engineering Technology
• Diesel Power Technology
• Manufacturing Engineering Technology
• Technology Management
• Agricultural Technology or related technical programs considered

Technical Experience & Knowledge

• Strong understanding of diesel engine diagnostics.
• Experience or knowledge of electrical diagnostic troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with diesel engine aftertreatment systems (DPF, SCR, DEF, emissions systems).
• Knowledge of Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) systems and components.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.

Software & Technical Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience using Microsoft Teams for communication and collaboration.
• Comfortable learning and operating proprietary diagnostic tools, software, and applications.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new technologies.
