Position Overview
The Group Account Supervisor (GAS) is responsible for driving strong client relationships, strategic partnership, and successful delivery across assigned business. Serving as a trusted advisor to clients, the GAS ensures agency work aligns with brand strategy and client objectives while maintaining high standards for quality, financial performance, and execution. This role partners closely with Creative, Medical, Strategy, and other cross-functional leaders to anticipate client needs, provide proactive strategic guidance, and identify opportunities to strengthen and grow the business. The GAS also plays an important leadership role within the Account team, developing talent and fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment.
Role Requirements
- Lead the day-to-day client relationship, ensuring agency work aligns with brand strategy, client objectives, and agreed-upon quality, budget, and timeline standards.
- Serve as a trusted client advisor by developing a deep understanding of the client’s business, anticipating needs, navigating challenges, and providing proactive counsel.
- Partner closely with Medical, Creative, Strategy, and other cross-functional leaders to provide strategic guidance and ensure strong, integrated delivery across the business.
- Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships, expand existing business, and support organic account growth.
- Maintain strong fiscal oversight, including scope management, staffing alignment, budget accountability, and overall financial health of assigned business.
- Oversee work across the account to ensure teams are delivering against client expectations, strategic objectives, timelines, and scopes of work.
- Build strong relationships across client organizations and serve as an effective liaison between clients and internal agency teams.
- Mentor and develop Account team members through ongoing coaching, feedback, and structured professional development.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture while ensuring clear communication and alignment across teams.
- Participate in local (tri-state) client travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive account management experience within HCP promotion, medical communications, consumer advertising, or a related healthcare agency environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing senior client relationships and serving as a strategic partner to clients.
- Strong understanding of account financials, including scopes of work, budgets, staffing, and overall account health.
- Experience managing, mentoring, and developing direct reports.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across Medical, Creative, Strategy, and other multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience across multiple products, brands, therapeutic categories, and client organizations preferred.
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate a fast-paced, evolving agency environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Master’s degree in business, science, or a related discipline preferred.
Salary Range: $110,000-$130,000
BGB Group is headquartered in New York City, and the salary range listed reflects the expected base compensation for this role in the New York City metropolitan area. This position may be performed remotely within the United States. For candidates located outside the New York City area, compensation will be adjusted to reflect the applicable market for the employee’s primary work location. Final compensation will be determined based on geographic location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
