DevOps Engineer
Hybrid

About the Role

We're supporting a major UK Defence programme and are looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain secure Azure environments supporting mission-critical systems.

Working within an Agile delivery team, you'll help deliver scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure, leveraging modern DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code.

Key Responsibilities

Design and support secure Azure cloud infrastructure.
Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and ARM Templates.
Build and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines and platform services.
Automate deployments and operational processes using Python and PowerShell.
Manage Azure networking, security, monitoring, alerting, VNets, and Private Endpoints.
Support Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure Data Factory solutions.
Collaborate with architects, developers, and stakeholders across complex defence programmes.

Essential Skills

Strong Azure cloud infrastructure experience.
Hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps, Functions, ADF, VNets, and Private Endpoints.
Terraform and ARM Template expertise.
Azure DevOps experience including Repos, Boards, Artifacts, Pipelines, and YAML.
Python and PowerShell scripting skills.
Experience working within Agile and CI/CD environments.
Strong understanding of secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure design.

Desirable Skills

Microsoft Power Platform.
Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Experience supporting secure government or defence environments.

Security Requirements

Candidates must be eligible for SC Clearance and willing to undergo the clearance process.
