Job Description

If you are a highly experienced Operations professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Southaven, MS location, as Senior Operations Manager, you will lead all aspects of plant operations, including distribution, kitting production, quality, HDE manufacturing, materials, safety, human resources, and finance. In this role, you will drive strategies and processes that ensure operational excellence, profitability, and customer satisfaction while fostering a safe and inclusive workplace.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Provide strategic leadership to the plant management team, inspiring collaboration and accountability to achieve operational goals.
  • Develop and manage annual and monthly financial plans, budgets, and operating reports; present updates and recommendations to leadership.
  • Oversee manufacturing plans and schedules, capital expenditure requests, and facility maintenance to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Lead initiatives to improve responsiveness to demand changes, enhance on-time delivery, increase productivity, optimize inventory turnover, and reduce costs.
  • Communicate effectively with employees and leadership, including delivering site-wide updates and participating in monthly S&OP meetings.
  • Partner with Human Resources to maintain a positive work environment, ensure employee safety and security, and support staffing and development needs.
  • Represent Emerson and Professional Tools within the local community and with government stakeholders.
Who You Are:

You are someone with the ability to deliver results from a strategic vantage. You are versed in financial acumen, have exceptional decision quality, and can manage complexity. You have effective communication and accountability as strengths. 

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience managing a high-volume manufacturing or distribution operation.
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • MBA.
  • Experience with world-class companies' warehouse safety standards, OSHA, and any other applicable regulations or policies.
  • Knowledge of LEAN principle, 6S, and Six Sigma.
