Kforce has a client that is seeking a Cutover Lead in McLean, VA.

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cutover Lead/Systems Engineering Lead to lead complex enterprise system implementations from planning through go-live, stabilization, and operational transition. This role will own cutover planning and execution across multiple enterprise platforms, integrations, data migration activities, and financial processes. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with large-scale system cutovers and go-lives and is comfortable coordinating technical teams, functional SMEs, and executive stakeholders in highly complex and time-sensitive environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive cutover plans, including task sequencing, dependencies, readiness assessments, and go/no-go criteria
• Coordinate cutover activities across CLM, S2P, Agentic AI, Costpoint, system integrations, data migration, and finance workstreams
• Lead cutover rehearsals and incorporate lessons learned into final deployment plans
• Manage end-to-end cutover execution, including transaction freezes, data extraction, reconciliation, deployment activities, and integration activation
• Lead the cutover command center, overseeing issue triage, escalation, checkpoint validation, and resolution
• Ensure financial, transactional, and data integrity throughout migration and system startup
• Oversee post-production hypercare, including daily monitoring, issue resolution, integration stability, and first-month reconciliation
• Identify and proactively manage risks, dependencies, and opportunities throughout the implementation lifecycle
• Communicate cutover progress, risks, issues, and critical decisions to program leadership and executive stakeholders
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship while operating with a high degree of autonomy

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of experience supporting or leading system cutovers, go-lives, or major operational transitions
• Experience with ERP, SaaS, or financial systems such as Costpoint, SAP, Oracle, Icertis, or Ivalua
• Experience with data migration, system integrations, batch schedules, and reconciliation processes
• Strong ability to organize and manage complex task sequencing, dependencies, and execution plans
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, functional SMEs, program leadership, and executive stakeholders
• Ability to support extended hours, weekends, and other time-sensitive execution windows during critical cutover and go-live periods

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP or SAFe certification
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint, including processing, integrations, and accounting period management
• Experience with Icertis Contract Intelligence or Ivalua Source-to-Pay platforms
• Experience within government contracting or project-based accounting environments
• Experience leading command centers or war rooms during production cutovers
• Experience using Smartsheet or Microsoft Project for complex implementation planning
• Knowledge of AI/ML-driven automation and parallel-run validation

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
