The Role

• Collaborate with finance and accounting directors to ensure accurate and timely recording of journal entries and transactions.
• Act as a primary resource for accountants, providing training and guidance on transaction recording and policies.
• Perform day-to-day accounting tasks for assigned communities, including handling responsibilities for communities without dedicated accountants.
• Prepare daily cash account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Identify and resolve accounting issues, establishing processes and controls to prevent recurrence.
• Assist in the preparation of month-end, quarterly, and annual reports, as well as consolidation and other reporting requirements.
• Support budget, forecasting, and audit processes as needed.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of five years of accounting experience, or a combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Proven ability to manage daily accounting tasks and prepare reconciliations.
• Experience assisting with financial reporting and audits.
