Cloud Architect /C# / .NET, Scientific Company

A rapidly growing organization supporting scientific research and laboratory technologies is hiring a full-time Senior Cloud Architect. This role is fully focused on modern cloud architecture, AWS, .NET, and DevSecOps initiatives as the company continues to scale a next-generation software platform used across highly regulated industries. You'll work in a collaborative, agile environment with significant influence over technical direction and long-term architecture strategy.
This is an opportunity to own architecture decisions from the ground up rather than maintain legacy systems. The team is looking for a hands-on architect who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, establishing engineering standards, mentoring developers, and driving cloud-first best practices. You'll have the chance to shape platform architecture, introduce modern design patterns, and work on solutions that support critical scientific and operational workflows.
Required Skills & Experience

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification
• Extensive experience with C# and .NET Core
• Strong AWS cloud architecture expertise
• Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience
• DevSecOps and cloud security best practices
• Experience designing scalable distributed applications
• Familiarity with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF or ISO standards
• Relational and NoSQL database experience

Desired Skills & Experience

• Angular 16+, TypeScript, and JavaScript experience
• Experience with hexagonal architecture principles
• Exposure to Big Data technologies
• Background supporting regulated environments (HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2)
• Experience creating proofs of concept and evaluating emerging technologies
• Laboratory, scientific, or analytical software domain experience
