Job Description

Marriott International is seeking an Event Specialist to support our Event Operations & Coordination team within the Hospitality & Travel industry. In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and execute meetings, conferences, and social events, ensuring flawless delivery and an exceptional guest experience. Responsibilities include managing event logistics, vendor coordination, timelines, and on-site support. You'll collaborate with internal teams, maintain budgets, and uphold brand standards. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate event details from handoff through post-event follow-up, ensuring accurate execution of client requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and update event resumes and banquet event orders, distributing information to all relevant departments.
  • Liaise with clients, event planners, and group leaders to confirm specifications, answer questions, and offer recommendations.
  • Collaborate with sales, catering, banquets, front office, and other departments to ensure seamless event operations.
  • Monitor event set-ups, room conditions, and service delivery on the event floor, addressing issues proactively.
  • Support on-site event management, including schedule adherence, last-minute changes, and guest requests.
  • Assist with site inspections and property tours for prospective and confirmed clients.
  • Track attendance counts, event changes, and special needs, updating systems and communicating to operations.
  • Verify event-related charges, support accurate billing, and help resolve client billing inquiries.
  • Participate in pre-conference and post-conference meetings to review logistics, outcomes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with Marriott brand standards, safety guidelines, and service protocols.
  • Demonstrate Marriott's people-first culture by fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment for guests and associates.
