Control Systems Engineer

Control Systems Engineer Ashby de la Zouch Monday–Friday | Days (flexibility required) Permanent The Opportunity We’re working with a well-established manufacturing business to recruit a Control Systems Engineer to support and develop site automation.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in keeping production running efficiently, while also leading improvement projects across control systems and automation.

What You’ll Be Doing<br />Supporting and maintaining PLC and automation systems across site<br />Fault finding and resolving electrical/control system issues<br />Delivering automation and upgrade projects (CAPEX)<br />Working closely with engineering, production, and external suppliers<br />Driving continuous improvement across processes and systems<br />Coaching and supporting teams to build automation capability<br />Ensuring systems meet safety and compliance standards<br />Managing documentation and system lifecycle improvements<br />Supporting site when required for critical automation issuesWhat We’re Looking For<br />Background in automation / control systems within manufacturing<br />Strong electrical and PLC fault-finding experience<br />Experience with Siemens PLCs (essential)<br />TIA Portal or other PLC platforms (Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Omron) beneficial<br />Experience delivering projects and continuous improvement work<br />Able to work both hands-on and as part of a wider team<br />Strong communication and problem-solving skillsWhat’s on Offer<br />Competitive salary<br />Bonus scheme<br />Healthcare and wellbeing support<br />Pension contribution<br />25 days holiday + bank holidays<br />Long-term stability with ongoing investment in automationApply Now If you’re a Control Systems / Automation Engineer looking for a role where you can make a real impact on site performance and work on meaningful projects, apply now or get in touch for more details
