Job Description

Quality Engineer

Full-Time | Walton-on-Thames, Surrey

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our clients team and play a key role in maintaining and developing our Quality Management Systems. Working closely with the Quality Manager, you will ensure full compliance with regulatory, customer and industry standards while helping drive continuous improvement across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with strong aerospace/defence sector experience to help develop our technical capability and support our ambition to become a centre of excellence in electroplating.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Quality Manager in ensuring the business complies with all regulatory requirements (Legal, Financial, Export, Health & Safety, Employment, Environmental)

- Manage the company Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS) and related approvals (including Nadcap and AS9100)

- Oversee the configuration management system to ensure conformance to military and commercial specifications and customer requirements

- Develop and maintain training and people development systems

- Support the development of technical capability within the business

- Manage quality processes including training & development, calibration, non-conformances and continuous improvement

- Authorise and sign company Certificates of Conformance

Key Skills & Attributes

- Working knowledge of quality systems and procedures to AS9100 and Nadcap level

Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum 5 years’ quality management experience at senior level

- Lead Auditor qualification **or** 5 years’ auditing experience

- Quality Assurance management qualification (I.Q.A. “A12” or equivalent) or equivalent practical experience

- Strong business experience

- Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels
