Junior Java Backend Developer

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following coding standards.
• Participate in application design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues.
• Work with databases to design queries, procedures, and data models.
• Assist in code reviews and implement feedback from senior developers.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Support application performance optimization and security improvements.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Understanding of Spring Boot and Spring Framework basics.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of Git/GitHub version control.
• Knowledge of Maven or Gradle build tools.
• Basic understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Hibernate/JPA.
• Knowledge of Docker and containerization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working on personal, academic, or internship projects.
