The Signia by Hilton San Jose is looking for a Controller to join our team! Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, our hotel is across from Plaza de César Chávez Park and within walking distance of the San Jose Convention Center, providing a premier destination for guests and a rewarding workplace for hospitality professionals.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Minimum 3 years of hotel finance management experience
• Hilton system knowledge
• Union experience is highly preferred

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:

• Oversee financial compliance: Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and implement internal controls to safeguard hotel assets
• Manage financial planning and analysis: Prepare the annual plan, projections, and budgets, providing key insights and counsel to hotel management, corporate offices, and ownership
• Monitor and approve transactions: Review and authorize hotel sales, purchases, salaries, and expenses to ensure financial integrity and cost control
• Advise hotel leadership: Assist department heads in interpreting financial data and recommend strategies to maximize profitability
• Inspire and develop the team: Supervise, coach, and mentor team members; conduct performance evaluations, provide professional development opportunities, and recognize achievements to build, retain, and engage a high-performing team
