Role Overview
Client seeking an experienced Product Owner / Business Execution Consultant to support Real-Time Money Movement within Commercial Banking.

This team supports commercial Treasury Management payment services, including Instant Payments, Zelle Disbursements, and Push-to-Card solutions.

The ideal candidate will have previous Product Owner, Product Management, or strong Business Analyst experience, preferably within banking, payments, Treasury Services, or Merchant Services. The role requires someone who can work across complex business and technology environments, analyze data, coordinate delivery and testing activities, and manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.

The initial focus will be supporting throughput and availability initiatives across 20+ applications, while also contributing to broader Product Owner responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Business Analysis

• Support product initiatives across real-time payments and money movement solutions.
• Partner with business and technology teams to develop ideas and translate them into product epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Gather, analyze, document, and refine business and functional requirements.
• Participate in backlog refinement and Agile ceremonies with technology teams.
• Maintain backlog readiness and ensure work items meet established definition-of-ready standards.
• Analyze current-state and future-state processes to identify gaps, dependencies, impacts, and execution requirements.
• Understand the target end user and connect product requirements to the underlying business rationale.
• Analyze complex datasets and draw clear, fact-based conclusions.

Testing & Technology Coordination

• Coordinate throughput and availability testing across 20+ applications within the payments ecosystem.
• Work with application teams to understand system functionality, technical dependencies, capacity, thresholds, alerting, and availability requirements.
• Coordinate testing scenarios across UAT, integration, regression, performance, throughput, and availability testing.
• Provide business/product input into UAT scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate test activities rather than serving as a hands-on test-script developer.
• Work with technology teams on application dependencies and end-to-end payment flows.
• Support initiatives involving active-active configurations, system capacity, throughput, availability, and performance testing.

Delivery & Execution

• Track deliverables, milestones, dependencies, action items, and execution progress against established plans.
• Coordinate across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, and other stakeholders.
• Identify and escalate risks, blockers, scope concerns, and delivery dependencies.
• Prepare status updates, execution summaries, and readiness information for leadership.
• Manage multiple concurrent deliverables in a complex enterprise environment.
• Maintain required documentation and execution artifacts in accordance with governance standards.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, Business Analysis, Business Execution, Operations, or delivery-related roles.
• Previous Product Owner/Product Management and/or strong Business Analyst experience.
• 3–5+ years of financial services experience, preferably within Payments, Commercial Banking, Treasury Services, or Merchant Services.
• Strong experience with Jira, including user stories, epics, features, backlog management, and workflows.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
• Experience supporting UAT, integration, regression, or other technology testing activities.
• Ability to understand complex technology environments and technical dependencies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex datasets and draw fact-based conclusions.
• Strong stakeholder management, documentation, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to independently navigate a complex environment involving multiple applications and stakeholders.
• Strong project management mindset with the ability to track deliverables, risks, dependencies, and timelines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Real-Time Payments / Instant Payments.
• Experience with Zelle, Push-to-Card, or commercial money movement products.
• Knowledge of The Clearing House (TCH) RTP and/or FedNow.
• Knowledge of ISO 20022 payment messaging.
• Understanding of APIs and webhooks.
• Understanding of system throughput, availability, capacity, thresholds, alerting, and active-active architecture.
• Experience coordinating performance and availability testing.
• Experience with Confluence, including documentation standards and intake processes.
• Experience with Tableau or ThoughtSpot.
• Techno-functional background with the ability to communicate effectively between business/product and technology teams.
