Job Description

Role: Network Engineer specialist
Location: Baltimore, Maryland Onsite

Duration: 6+ months
MOI: Video

Position Summary:

Client is seeking an experienced Network Specialist to support a proposed client program. This position will serve as a dedicated network resource supporting LAN/WAN operations and connectivity, the contractor's Primary Site, Back-Up Site, and associated ITLM infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Deliver exclusive LAN and WAN technical assistance.
  • Maintain system architecture configured for central ITLM operations.
  • Align technical tasks with secondary failover locations.
  • Sustain integration pathways linking with client, primary operational centers, and backup facilities.
  • Diagnose and resolve system outages, capacity degradation, and connection faults.
  • Assist deployment phases, system verification, cutover milestones, and continuous operations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, and management teams to uphold target operational thresholds.
  • Contribute to technical schematics, issue remediation, issue escalation, and disaster recovery processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Possess active Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or (CCNP) and (CCNA) credentials with verifiable proof.
  • Proven capability managing complex LAN and WAN infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated proficiency handling enterprise network design and multi-site linkages.
  • Background maintaining primary operational hubs and failover recovery facilities.
  • Commitment to serve as exclusive, full-time staff upon contract award.
  • Capacity to satisfy client background checks and personnel clearance standards.
  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Demonstrated background supporting round-the-clock or mission-critical enterprise systems.
  • Proficiency with advanced routing protocols, switches, virtual private networks, firewall policies, network telemetry, and encrypted tunnels.
  • Prior experience assisting public sector, lottery, gaming, financial, or highly regulated enterprise infrastructures.
  • Active Cisco, Microsoft, or equivalent industry networking credentials supplementing mandatory MCSE or CCNP certification.
