JOB SUMMARY:
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator supports departmental marketing initiatives through social media management, Meta advertising, email marketing, graphic design, content creation, and promotional campaign execution. This position is responsible for implementing approved marketing strategies and ensuring quality and timely delivery of marketing materials across multiple channels.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Email Marketing
Create, schedule, and deploy email marketing campaigns supporting thrift stores, e-commerce, ARC programs, and organizational priorities. Maintain email marketing distribution lists and support audience segmentation efforts to improve campaign targeting and engagement. Monitor email campaign performance and prepare regular analytics reports to evaluate results and identify optimization opportunities.
Social Media & Content Creation
Manage all day-to-day social media activities, including content creation, scheduling, publishing, community engagement, and audience interaction. Execute paid social media advertising campaigns across Meta platforms, manage advertising budgets, and provide monthly performance reporting and analytics to support audience growth and optimize campaign results. Maintain the social media content calendar and create content supporting promotions, observance days, events, and organizational initiatives. Create and edit long-form video content for YouTube and websites.
Manage and maintain the organization's video and photo libraries, ensuring digital assets are properly organized, accessible, and up to date for marketing and communications use. Graphic Design & Campaign Deployment
Design and produce marketing materials that support thrift store sales, new store openings, and organizational objectives while upholding brand standards across print and digital platforms. Create promotional graphics, signage, event materials, social media content, business cards, and other branded collateral as needed using Canva or Adobe design software.
Coordinate deployment of approved campaign assets and content according to established timelines across platforms. Collaboration & Project Support
Coordinate assigned marketing projects and collaborate with departments, ARC locations, vendors, and stakeholders to fulfill marketing needs. Actively participate in department meetings and strategic planning sessions to provide insights. Support the Director and Manager with special projects, departmental initiatives, and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong graphic design, visual communication, and content creation skills with experience developing digital and print marketing materials. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, video editing software, and other creative tools used for marketing and social media. Strong copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to maintain a consistent brand voice across multiple channels. Experience managing social media platforms, content calendars, community engagement, and marketing campaigns.
Familiarity with email marketing platforms, analytics, and digital marketing best practices. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to adapt to feedback and changing priorities. Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. English fluency is a must. Spanish fluency is a plus.
EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE
1-3 years of experience in marketing, graphic design, communications, social media, or related fields.
Experience using social media platforms, email marketing systems, and graphic design software.
Experience creating digital and print marketing materials.
Degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or related field preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel or twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and other office equipment.
Ability to communicate via written and verbal means.
Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (file boxes, trade show expo set up, etc.).
