Financial Services Litigation Associate

About the Role

Join a financial services litigation team handling complex disputes and regulatory matters for financial institutions and related businesses. This mid-level associate role offers hands-on responsibility across cases in state and federal courts and arbitration.

What You'll Do

• Manage complex commercial and financial services litigation from pre-suit investigation through pleadings, discovery, trial preparation, and appeals.

• Draft and argue motions, briefs, and memoranda in federal and state courts, and prepare arbitration submissions.

• Conduct and defend fact and expert witness depositions in high-stakes disputes.

• Oversee large-scale document review and e-discovery matters.

• Advise financial institution clients on litigation strategy, risk assessment, and regulatory exposure.

• Work with partners on case strategy and client relationships.

• Research regulatory and common-law issues involving consumer finance, enforcement defense, broker-dealer disputes, fintech, and digital assets.

What We're Looking For

• Five to seven years of financial services litigation experience, with experience handling matters through multiple phases of litigation.

• Experience representing financial services participants such as banks, broker-dealers, investment advisers, asset managers, or fintech businesses.

• Active New York bar membership in good standing.

• Familiarity with SEC, FINRA, CFPB, and OCC matters, as well as e-discovery and large-scale document review.

• Experience with legal research and case management tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, Relativity, PACER, and Microsoft Office.

• Prior experience at a large or comparable law firm is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary is $250,000 to $280,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
