CLIENT LOCATION: 201 W. Washington Avenue, Madison, WI 53703

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Hybrid; approximately 90 100% remote

START / END: October 19, 2026, to June 30, 2027, with possible extensions

Detailed Job Description: (Please be specific with all job duties required by the hired candidate.) The candidate will be responsible for migrating mappings, mapplets, sessions, and workflows from Informatica PowerCenter to IDMC. Assist in ETL design, development, testing, maintenance, metadata, and implementation of data warehouse initiatives. Understand user requirements and implement solutions that ensure requirements can be achieved through high quality deliverables. Develop ETL mapping specifications for loading information into the data warehouse and for ensuring reliability of information loaded. Seek continuous improvement in performance & tuning of data warehouse and ensure security of data. Works with other IT technical teams and Business users to understand requirements and recommend & implement solutions. Closely supervised with some latitude for independent judgment. Typically requires at least 4 to 5 years of experience or equivalent education.

DESCRIPTION

The Client is seeking one Data Warehouse Developer II to migrate mappings, mapplets, sessions, and workflows from Informatica PowerCenter to Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC).

The developer will assist with ETL design, development, testing, maintenance, metadata, and implementation of data warehouse initiatives. The role includes understanding user requirements; developing ETL mapping specifications for loading information into the data warehouse; ensuring the reliability and security of loaded information; and continuously improving data warehouse performance and tuning.

The developer will work with other IT technical teams and business users to understand requirements and recommend and implement solutions. This is a career-development position that works with moderate supervision and some latitude for independent judgment. The role typically requires four to five years of experience or equivalent education.

The broader assignment includes designing, developing, and maintaining relational databases for data storage and data mining; performing data warehouse design and testing, including data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation; and developing processes and procedures for entering information into data warehousing systems and ensuring its reliability.

INTERVIEW PROCESS

  • Interview process is expected to be in person, although the hiring manager retains discretion to use phone or video interviews at any point.

EQUIPMENT

  • The selected candidate must provide personal equipment for remote work and maintain it so it remains compatible with the current Omnissa Horizon Client.
  • Home internet: minimum 20 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload, with the ability to connect the computer by Cat 5a or better network cable.
  • Windows: a currently supported version of Windows 11; 8 GB RAM minimum (16 GB+ preferred); 64-bit processor; Direct3D 11-compatible graphics; latest Omnissa Horizon Client.
  • Apple: a currently supported version of macOS 13 or higher; 8 GB RAM minimum (16 GB+ preferred); 64-bit Intel or ARM M-series processor; latest Omnissa Horizon Client.
  • Full audio/video conferencing capability, including a camera and headset, is required.
  • A personal mobile device is not required.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, day shift, generally 8:00 AM 5:00 PM. The candidate must be available during the hiring manager's defined Central Time business hours, including the core period of 9:00 AM 3:00 PM. On-call hours are required; weekend coverage is not required.
  • The position is budgeted for 1,960 hours annually, prorated in the first year based on the start date.
  • The candidate must be physically located in the United States. All contact information must be domestic, and no work may be performed outside the United States.
  • The candidate must follow all DCF work rules. The position does not have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI).
  • A seven-year standard background check is required. All offers are contingent on passing required background checks; the selected candidate may also be required to complete criminal background checks and fingerprinting as applicable.
  • DCF does not sponsor work visas at hire or later.
