Job Description

Role :  Wireless Network Engineer / Wireless Infrastructure Specialist

Job type: Fulltime

Location: Atlanta, GA – Onsite

 

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:

  • Experience with Cambium Networks equipment (PTP, PMP, cnWave, or equivalent wireless platforms).
  • Knowledge of wireless networking concepts, RF fundamentals, and network troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and Ethernet technologies.
  • Experience using network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with fiber optic and structured cabling installations.
  • Experience supporting service provider, enterprises, utility, or public safety networks.
  • Knowledge of RF planning and spectrum analysis tools
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to climb ladders, access rooftops, and work at elevated locations when required.
  • Ability to travel to sites throughout the assigned service area.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to remote sites.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Installation support, configure, and commission Cambium wireless radio systems, including point-to-point (PTP) and point-to-multipoint (PMP) solutions.
  • Perform site surveys and evaluate locations for optimal radio placement and performance.
  • Coordinate installations of antennas, mounts, grounding systems, structured cabling, and supporting network equipment.
  • Coordinate new network deployments and equipment upgrades.
  • Document installation activities and maintain accurate network records.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on wireless network infrastructure.
  • Monitor radio health, performance metrics, and network availability.
  • Perform firmware updates, configuration backups, and system upgrades.
  • Ensure network equipment complies with company standards and security requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve wireless connectivity, throughput, interference, and hardware issues.
  • Troubleshoot Layer 1 through Layer 3 networking problems.
  • Respond to service interruptions and participate in on-call support as required.
  • Collaborate with Network Engineering and Operations teams to resolve escalated issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of installed equipment, configurations, and maintenance activities.
  • Update network diagrams, inventory databases, and support documentation.
  • Provide status reports and recommendations for infrastructure improvements.
