QA Engineer An established global organisation with a strong presence across financial markets and technology is continuing to invest in its Belfast technology function and is currently seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join its Agile engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior QA Engineer with strong automation expertise to play a key role in delivering high-quality, reliable and scalable software solutions. As a QA Engineer, you will work with modern testing technologies, AI-enabled tooling and complex enterprise platforms while helping shape quality engineering standards and best practice across the wider organisation. You will join a high-performing Agile team, working alongside developers, business analysts, product owners and QA professionals across multiple locations. The role offers the opportunity to work on complex systems while helping shape scalable testing frameworks and quality engineering practices. About You You will be an experienced QA professional with a strong background in test automation and a passion for delivering high-quality software. Ideally, you will have: Extensive experience in QA automation within Agile environments Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress or WebDriverIO Strong programming experience in Java, JavaScript or TypeScript Experience designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks Strong API, functional and end-to-end testing experience Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines Practical experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber Knowledge of performance, load and stress testing Experience working with Agile or SAFe methodologies Strong understanding of SDLC and quality engineering principles Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills A proactive approach to identifying risks and improving quality Experience mentoring or supporting other QA engineers Experience within financial services, trading platforms or capital markets would be highly advantageous, as would knowledge of FIX/API, AWS, microservices or serverless environments. What You'll Do Develop, execute and maintain automated and functional test solutions Design and evolve robust, scalable automation frameworks using modern tools such as Playwright Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines Drive shift-left testing and API-first automation across Agile delivery teams Work closely with developers, product owners and business analysts to define effective test strategies Apply BDD and TDD principles to improve software quality Use AI tools such as Copilot and ChatGPT to enhance testing efficiency and automation workflows Identify performance issues and recommend improvements Champion quality engineering practices across the wider team Contribute to code reviews, unit testing and continuous improvement initiatives Mentor and coach other members of the QA team Take ownership of testing deliverables, risks and technical challenges Communicate progress, risks and issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders For further information on this job, apply via the link or contact the VANRATH office for a confidential chat today.
