Senior Systems Administrator with Security Clearance

Senior Systems Administrator Location: Washington, DC Job Type: Hybrid 2-3 days onsite in Washington, DC Description: Our client seeks an experienced Systems Administrator to support Azure Cloud Operations for the NTIA Federal Network Operations Center (NOC). This role involves managing and maintaining critical IT infrastructure, ensuring system availability, performance, and security.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Azure Cloud infrastructure and services.
• Monitor system performance and availability, implementing proactive measures to prevent downtime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployments and updates.
• Implement and maintain security protocols to protect sensitive data and systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior IT staff.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar IT role.
• Proven experience with Azure Cloud services and infrastructure management.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
• Experience working with federal government agencies.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, FISMA).

Clearance: Must have an active Secret clearance.
