Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Freelance PR Strategist to support a high-profile business executive and entrepreneur in growing their media presence, thought leadership, and executive brand. This role is ideal for a PR professional who can work independently, manage media relationships, identify opportunities, and execute strategic outreach across business, leadership, investment, and industry-focused media.

The successful candidate will work directly with the client to continue existing PR momentum while developing new opportunities across traditional media, podcasts, speaking opportunities, and targeted industry channels.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an executive PR and media strategy.
  • Manage media outreach, pitching, and relationship building with journalists, editors, and industry platforms.
  • Identify opportunities for interviews, articles, podcasts, speaking engagements, and thought leadership placements.
  • Build and maintain a strong media pipeline across relevant business and niche publications.
  • Support executive positioning through compelling storytelling and messaging.
  • Track PR activity, opportunities, and results, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Work independently while communicating directly with senior client stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in PR, communications, media relations, or executive communications.
  • Proven experience securing media coverage and managing PR campaigns.
  • Strong relationships with journalists, publications, podcasts, or industry communities.
  • Excellent writing, pitching, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience supporting executives, founders, entrepreneurs, authors, or public-facing professionals.
  • Ability to manage projects independently and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Background in business, finance, investment, technology, leadership, sports business, or entrepreneurship.
  • Experience building executive personal brands.
  • Agency, consultancy, or senior in-house communications experience.
