. Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Sales Engineer for an industrial finishing organization serving the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio manufacturing market. This role combines hands-on knowledge of industrial finishing and manufacturing processes with technical sales, customer relationship development, and solution-based selling. This opportunity is particularly well suited for someone who understands finishing operations from firsthand experience and is ready to apply that technical knowledge in a customer-facing sales role.

Relevant backgrounds may include industrial finishing, manufacturing operations, equipment sales, or operational leadership positions with direct exposure to finishing processes and customer interaction. POSITION OVERVIEW
The Sales Engineer will develop and grow business throughout the assigned Pittsburgh and Eastern Ohio territory. The role works directly with manufacturers to understand production and finishing challenges, recommend appropriate equipment and process solutions, and build long-term customer relationships.

Candidates should bring hands-on industrial manufacturing or finishing knowledge, strong mechanical and technical aptitude, and the communication skills necessary to work effectively with manufacturing engineers, plant managers, operations managers, production supervisors, and purchasing personnel. ROLE

• Develop new business opportunities throughout the Pittsburgh and Eastern Ohio territory.
• Identify customer manufacturing challenges and recommend appropriate finishing solutions, equipment, and process improvements.
• Conduct customer visits, facility walk-throughs, equipment demonstrations, and technical presentations.
• Establish strong relationships with manufacturing engineers, plant managers, operations managers, production supervisors, and purchasing personnel.
• Generate quotes, proposals, and technical recommendations.
• Manage sales activities through CRM and other technology tools.
• Coordinate with internal teams to support successful project implementation and customer satisfaction.
• Attend trade shows, industry events, and customer demonstrations as needed.
• Stay current on industry trends, finishing technologies, and competitive offerings.

TRAVEL

• Travel throughout the assigned Pittsburgh, PA / Eastern Ohio territory is required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Requirements
Requirements

• High School Diploma Or Equivalent

REQUIRED

• 2+ Years Of Experience In Industrial Manufacturing, Finishing Operations, Equipment Sales, Or Related Industries

REQUIRED

• Direct Experience With Abrasive Blasting, Vibratory Finishing, Surface Preparation, Deburring And Polishing, Metal Finishing, Or Industrial Finishing Equipment

REQUIRED

• Experience Working Within A Manufacturing Facility That Includes A Finishing Department

REQUIRED

• Strong Mechanical And Technical Aptitude

REQUIRED

• Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills

REQUIRED

• Ability To Use CRM Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, And Other Sales Technology Tools

REQUIRED

• Ability To Travel Throughout The Assigned Territory

REQUIRED

• Valid Driver's License And Reliable Transportation

REQUIRED
Preferred

• Experience Working For A Finishing Company, Job Shop, Or Manufacturing Operation With Finishing Processes Preferred
• Previous Warehouse Supervisor, Production Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, Or Similar Experience With Customer Interaction Responsibilities Preferred
• Knowledge Of Process Improvement, Production Efficiency, And Manufacturing Workflows Preferred
• Established Relationships Within The Regional Manufacturing Community Preferred
• Technical Or Engineering-Related Education, Training, Or Certifications Preferred
