Quality Engineer

Salary £50,000+ | Bonus Scheme | Healthcare | 33 Days Annual Leave | Midday Finish Friday

A Quality Engineer opportunity has arisen within an established precision manufacturing business working through a period of growth. Working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Customers and Suppliers, you'll investigate quality issues, support new product introduction and ensure components meet technical requirements. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you'll combine practical shop floor problem-solving with quality assurance, auditing and customer communication.

Quality Engineer responsibilities include -

• Investigating quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Managing quarantined stock and supporting MRB decisions.
• Reviewing incoming materials, route cards and product release documentation.
• Conducting internal audits and following up actions.
• Preparing FAIRs and supporting APQP and new product introduction.
• Reviewing specifications and managing concessions.
• Working with customers, suppliers and production teams to improve quality.

Quality Engineer desirable skills and experience -

• Previous quality engineering experience within manufacturing and machining.
• Knowledge of quality management systems such as AS9100 or automotive IATF 16949.
• Confident reading engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions and internal auditing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Minitab or FAIR software.

Quality Engineer benefits include -

• Salary £45,000-£50,000, depending on experience.
