Contract: 6 months initially

Location: Bristol (Hybrid working available)

The Role

We are working with a large public sector organisation experiencing a significant period of recruitment activity. They are looking for an experienced Recruitment Advisor to provide additional support to their recruitment team for an initial six-month period.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role supporting a high volume of recruitment campaigns across a range of levels and specialisms. You'll manage candidate pipelines, assess applications and work closely with hiring managers to ensure recruitment activity progresses efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple recruitment campaigns simultaneously within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Review and sift large volumes of CVs and applications against agreed role criteria and assessment frameworks.
  • Conduct initial candidate screening calls to assess experience, suitability and motivation before progressing candidates.
  • Make clear, evidence-based recommendations on whether candidates should progress to interview.
  • Manage candidate pipelines through an Applicant Tracking System, ensuring recruitment activity remains accurate and up to date.
  • Support hiring managers with shortlisting, selection and candidate assessment where required.
  • Partner with stakeholders throughout the recruitment process, providing advice and proactively keeping campaigns moving.
  • Follow up with busy hiring managers to obtain decisions, feedback and outstanding information.
  • Support both external and internal recruitment processes.
  • Ensure candidates receive clear communication and a positive, professional experience throughout the process.

About You

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience within a high-volume agency, RPO or in-house recruitment environment.
  • Strong CV screening, shortlisting and candidate assessment experience.
  • Experience managing several vacancies or recruitment campaigns simultaneously.
  • Confidence making quick, considered decisions on candidate suitability.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence and support busy hiring managers.
  • Experience using an ATS, with Workday advantageous but not essential.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to pick up recruitment activity quickly with minimal supervision.
  • Public sector recruitment experience would be beneficial but isn't essential.

The organisation is looking to move quickly, with a one-stage interview process and an ASAP start preferred.
