Job Summary (List Format)

• Minimum 8 years of professional Python development experience in secure, scalable, production-ready backend applications or calculation services.
• Expert in modern Python, object-oriented design, modular architecture, reusable libraries, type validation, dependency management, and industry coding standards.
• Proficient in developing REST APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks, with expertise in request validation, API versioning, authentication, structured error handling, and OpenAPI documentation.
• Strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills, including data modeling, advanced queries, functions, indexing, transaction management, and performance tuning.
• Proven track record of identifying and implementing engineering automation and productivity improvements using AI, Generative AI, intelligent agents, scripting, and developer tools.
• Hands-on experience with Pydantic, PyTest, importlib, caching, configuration management, and development of reusable Python utilities and packages.
• Skilled at translating complex formulas, business rules, dependency graphs, or scientific models into deterministic, traceable, and testable software components.
• Experience designing and implementing automated unit, integration, regression, and API tests, including thorough defect analysis and test documentation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Azure services, container platforms (App Service or equivalent), Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, secrets management, logging, monitoring, and production application support.
• Strong knowledge of secure software development practices, including data protection, auditability, resilience, performance optimization, and production support.
• Preferred knowledge of building science, sustainability standards, energy and water efficiency, materials, embodied carbon, or cost calculations.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to work with cross-functional teams including product owners, architects, building science experts, QA, UX, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills; experienced in Agile methodologies and working within multicultural, distributed teams.
