Forensic Accounting & Business Valuation Senior Manager

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

• Perform, oversee and execute all aspects of business valuation engagements, including development of financial analysis, valuation models, exhibits and reports

• Review, analyze and compare valuations of opposing experts

• Communicate and work with a broad client base consisting of private equity firms, publicly-traded companies, venture-backed companies, etc.

• Ability to learn and perform business and derivative valuations using option pricing models and Monte Carlo analysis

• Participate in client assignments from beginning to end

• Identify and communicate case issues, finding, and improvement opportunities with managers and partners to resolve client issues discovered during engagements.

• Work with discovery team to inventory and reconcile documents and data produced in preparation for submission to courts, attorneys and clients

• Assist in preparation of exhibits and background information for expert witness testimony

• Maintain and comply with highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality and personal conduct.

• Participate in training and developing staff and building a team-centered client service team; monitor client issues related to compliance services and monitor engagement status and profitability as well as attending to client expectation 

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

• Experience valuing alternative asset managers such as hedge funds and private equity

• Knowledgeable of the relevant statutory and family codes, and their applicability to valuation standards and accounting principles in performance of forensic accounting

• Must have active ASA, CFA, CPA or equivalent certification

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 8 years of experience in public accounting or related field
• 5 years supervisory
• Must have active CPA or equivalent certification
• Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
• Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
• Proficient use of applicable technology
• Must be able to travel based on business needs
