  • Optimize existing backends using Python, Asyncio, and Pandas, and occasionally perform updates to legacy Java Map/Reduce and GHOSTMACHINE analytics
  • Manage and deploy services within existing infrastructure environments using MACHINESHOP, Docker, Nginx, and GitLab CI/CD, while planning expansions into C2S and HCI
  • Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode to accelerate code delivery and enhance team development velocity QUALIFICATIONS Twelve (12) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Additional Requirements

  • Experience with successful software development on NSANet, demonstrating familiarity with the environment ecosystems such as MACHINESHOP, C2S, or GHOSTMACHINE
  • Production-grade software development experience in Python and JavaScript to build robust, full-stack architectures
  • Knowledge of developing user interfaces, REST middleware, databases, and analytics within a cross-functional team framework
  • Experience with collaborative development workflows, showcasing a strong history of teamwork and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Git-based version control systems and continuous integration pipelines

Desired Skills NICE-TO-HAVES

  • Experience using and customizing AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Codex, Opencode, etc.) through advanced configurations like Skills and Memory
  • Familiarity with modern UI libraries (React, Angular, Vue) and cloud-based hosting environments like AWS
  • Experience with infrastructure expansion and deployment utilizing tools such as C2S, HCI, Docker, Nginx, and GitLab CI/CD
