Incident Commander
Location: Chandler, Arizona
Duration: 12 months
Role Overview
This organization requires a skilled Incident Commander to oversee and coordinate the response to major operational incidents. The successful candidate will provide regional support for the global incident management function within production services, helping to deliver continuous service for over 850 applications. Collaborating with global counterparts is essential to ensure the seamless delivery of incident management processes and to maintain operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage high-severity incidents by leading triage efforts, hosting technical bridge calls, and documenting timelines.
• Drive timely resolution of business-impacting incidents to ensure minimal disruption to services.
• Coordinate teams to understand business impacts, perform forensics, categorize issues, and engage the appropriate subject matter experts.
• Maintain clear communication during incidents, keeping technical teams aligned and accountable to allocated actions.
• Provide regular, structured updates regarding incident status and resolution progress to stakeholders.
• Facilitate post-mortem processes and contribute to continuous improvement methodologies.

Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Demonstrated experience in a major incident management role within a large enterprise IT organization. Proven experience in triaging mission-critical systems failures and driving resolution under pressure is required. Background knowledge in payments, treasury cash management, or liquidity systems is highly beneficial.
Technical Skills: ITIL Certification is required. Candidates must possess a strong technical background to understand complex systems and troubleshoot issues effectively. Familiarity with change management policies, risk management, risk identification, disaster recovery, and business continuity management is necessary.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience delivering updates to executive leadership.
• A proactive, results-driven approach with strong attention to detail and accountability.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, prioritize effectively, and work across organizational boundaries.
