Test Automation Engineer

Westlake Texas, Onsite Hybrid

In this role, you will be working with a team of technologists passionate about delivering Continuous Integration Automation and Test Data ecosystems as well as consulting with development and business partners in test and process automation. As a technical associate of this team, you will be crafting our technology vision and will have a real impact on our development success.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, and maintain automated tests and in-house software utilities
• Adhere to established software engineering best practices and standards
• Collaborate with other technical resources
• Suggest improvements for processes, best practices, and standards
• Design and develop automated tests and/or software tools
• Understand requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve maintainability of automation platform
• Apply test driven design concepts to test and debug automated solutions and software utilities
• Deliver accurate and maintainable code for test automation and software utilities

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 8 years of experience with architecting automation test platforms and implementing development pipelines (CI/CD)
• Multi-stack engineer with knowledge in a breadth of technologies and test automation frameworks and solutions (Java and AngularJS required)
• Ability to work effectively across different technology stacks (Web, Mobile, API)
• Proven experience with development within Java, JavaScript, Jenkins, uDeploy
• Demonstrated experience with web-based and API-based automation tool sets such as Selenium, REST Assured, Playwright, Cucumber, and Karate
• Cloud experience (Amazon Web Services AWS preferred)
• Ability to create solutions for multiple development teams to increase velocity to production and stability in the product
• Experience creating and standing up testing toolsets and platforms for multiple teams
• Knowledgeable about different monitoring and observability options for proactive incident resolution
• Strong demonstrated experience in delivering software solutions in an Agile environment
