Assistant Project Manager

Pay Range: $45 - $60/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a cross-functional team to execute substation, transmission line, and telecommunication projects.
• Oversee 5-20 projects concurrently of varying sizes and voltages (4kV-765kV).
• Manage projects for schedule adherence, identifying risks to achieve project in-service dates.
• Navigate client gate approval processes, including presentations to senior management.
• Maintain accurate cost forecasts reflecting committed and uncommitted costs for estimates-at-completion.
• Coordinate craft labor resources with client-approved vendors for construction and testing.
• Provide regular project status updates and maintain project data for client reporting.
• Develop multi-year Client expenditure plans to support electric transmission and distribution asset management.
• Ensure synergies across projects to prevent scope duplication and inefficiencies.
• Create analyses and reports to assist clients in tracking and executing projects.
• Develop construction lifecycles focused on outage efficiency and constructability.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree from an accredited program.
• 5+ years of experience in utility transmission projects (either T-Line or substation) or related industries.
• Familiarity with ProjectWise, SharePoint, SAP, and cost/schedule management tools is preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• PE or PMP certification is a plus.
• Experience in the Transmission & Substation, T-Line, and Oil & Gas sectors.
