Job Summary

IRG Clients is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager to manage Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure. Projects may include large-diameter water pipelines, pump stations, tanks, reservoirs, wells, sewer systems, manholes, force mains, and lift stations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage water and wastewater CIP projects from planning and design through construction and closeout.
• Develop project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and long-range project plans.
• Manage rehabilitation and replacement projects for water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Procure and administer construction contracts and manage contractors and consultants.
• Review engineering designs, plans, specifications, proposals, and construction documents.
• Coordinate project activities with customers, operations staff, contractors, consultants, and other City departments.
• Monitor project costs, schedules, quality, and construction progress.
• Support permitting and review payment applications.
• Ensure final construction documents are properly integrated into Work and Asset Management systems.

Required/Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in civil engineering, architecture, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of water/wastewater engineering, design, construction, inspection, or project management experience.
• Experience managing consultants and contractors on Capital Improvement Projects or large infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of municipal water/wastewater engineering principles, construction methods, materials, and practices.
• Experience developing project scopes, cost estimates, reviewing proposals and design documents, managing contracts, and overseeing construction.
• Arizona Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred
