Job Description

Exciting new Product Manager - Authentication & Profile Management opportunity! This position is a hybrid role local to San Francisco, CA.

We are seeking a strategic and technically strong Product Manager to lead the evolution of our client's Authentication and Profile Management capabilities. This role is responsible for defining the roadmap and driving execution for enterprise-wide identity, authentication, and customer profile services. You will partner closely with engineering and platform teams to integrate backend systems into a common profile architecture, remediate customer data quality issues, and expand our profile management capabilities to support new business and product use cases.

You'll play a key role in strengthening the foundation of how customers securely access and manage their identity across our client's ecosystem.

Contract Duration: 6-months (+ extensions) - potential perm conversion

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2-3 years focused on a data-intensive domain such as identity, authentication, security, or customer data platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience working with identity systems (e.g., OAuth, SSO, SAML, MFA), directory services, or customer profile platforms.
  • Understanding of user-centered design and ability to partner with Design to create customer-centric experiences.
  • Strong technical ability to translate architecture concepts, API designs, and data models into clear product requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to executives.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex platform capabilities.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality frameworks, and customer identity lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of customer data models, master data management (MDM), and data quality tooling.

Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Experience in financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of privacy and data regulations (e.g., CCPA, GDPR, KYC/AML).
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
  • Experience integrating large-scale or legacy systems into unified platforms is strongly preferred.
  • MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

What You Will Be Doing:
Daily Responsibilities
Identity & Profile Platform Strategy
  • Own and build on the existing roadmap for core identity, authentication, and profile management capabilities, including account creation, login, MFA, session management, and customer data services.
  • Ensure our long-term strategy for consolidating customer identity and profile data into a unified, scalable platform supports business growth.

Back-End Systems Integration
  • Partner with engineering to integrate legacy and distributed systems into a centralized profile management system.
  • Identify gaps in identity and profile data flows and design solutions that standardize and modernize how customer data is created, consumed, and maintained.

Customer Data Quality & Remediation
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to identify, diagnose, and remediate bad or inconsistent customer data.
  • Establish governance, quality checks, and data stewardship processes to maintain a clean, reliable customer profile across all channels.

Use Case Expansion & Feature Delivery
  • Translate business and product requirements into detailed specifications for authentication and profile-related services, i.e. execute the roadmap.
  • Prioritize and deliver new capabilities to support emerging product needs, regulatory changes, fraud reduction, and improved user experiences.

Security, Compliance, & Privacy Alignment
  • Work closely with Security, Fraud, and Compliance teams to ensure authentication flows and profile data usage adhere to security best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., KYC, CCPA, GDPR).
  • Advocate for customer data protection and secure-by-design principles.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with engineering, design, fraud, operations, and product teams to deliver seamless and secure identity experiences across all channels.
  • Communicate roadmap, progress, and decisions clearly to stakeholders and senior leadership.
