Engineering &amp; Manufacturing</strong><br /> <strong>Supplier Quality Engineer</strong><br /> <strong>A Global Engineering &amp; Manufacturing Company based near Ipswich is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join its growing Quality team.</strong><br /> <strong>This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer, Supplier Development Engineer or Quality Engineer to take ownership of supplier quality performance across a global supply base, supporting supplier development, new product introduction and continuous improvement activities.</strong><br /> Operating at the interface of <strong>Quality</strong>, <strong>Engineering</strong>, <strong>Supply</strong> <strong>Chain</strong> and <strong>Operations</strong>, you will play a key role in <strong>developing</strong> <strong>supplier</strong> <strong>capability</strong>, <strong>reducing</strong> <strong>quality</strong> <strong>issues</strong> and <strong>ensuring</strong> <strong>supplier</strong> <strong>performance</strong> meets the highest standards.<br /> The position also supports <strong>New Product</strong> <strong>Introduction</strong> (<strong>NPI</strong>) and <strong>New</strong> <strong>Product</strong> <strong>Development</strong> (<strong>NPD</strong>) <strong>programmes</strong>, helping to bring <strong>new</strong> <strong>products</strong> <strong>successfully</strong> from <strong>concept</strong> into <strong>production</strong>.<br /> The <strong>Supplier Quality Engineer </strong>role offers significant flexibility and is well suited to candidates located across the <strong>East Midlands</strong>, <strong>East</strong> <strong>Anglia</strong> and the <strong>South</strong> <strong>East</strong>.

Whilst there is an office base in <strong>Suffolk</strong>, there is no requirement to be office-based full-time.<br /> <strong>The successful candidate can be primarily home-based, travelling to suppliers, manufacturing sites and project locations as required.</strong><br /> <strong>The Supplier Quality Engineer Role</strong><br /> As Supplier Quality Engineer, you will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive quality improvements and support business growth across an international supply chain.<br /> Key responsibilities include <strong>supplier</strong> <strong>development</strong>, <strong>supplier</strong> <strong>auditing</strong>, <strong>supplier</strong> <strong>performance</strong> <strong>improvement</strong>, <strong>PPAP</strong> <strong>review</strong> and <strong>approval</strong>, support of <strong>NPI</strong> and <strong>NPD</strong> <strong>programmes</strong>, <strong>root</strong> <strong>cause</strong> <strong>investigation</strong>, <strong>corrective</strong> <strong>action</strong> <strong>management</strong> and <strong>collaboration</strong> with <strong>Engineering</strong> and <strong>Operations</strong> teams to deliver <strong>robust</strong> <strong>quality</strong> <strong>standards</strong> throughout the supply base.<br /> You will also be responsible for conducting supplier process and systems audits, supporting quality planning activities, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement, and building strong working relationships with suppliers across the UK, Europe and Asia.<br /> <strong>The Person</strong><br /> We are looking for an experienced quality professional with a background in <strong>Supplier Quality</strong> <strong>Engineering</strong>, <strong>Supplier</strong> <strong>Development </strong>or <strong>Supplier</strong> <strong>Quality</strong> <strong>Assurance </strong>within a <strong>manufacturing </strong>or <strong>engineering</strong> environment.<br /> You will have proven experience working directly with <strong>suppliers</strong> to improve <strong>quality</strong> <strong>performance</strong>, strong <strong>auditing</strong> capability and the ability to influence both <strong>internal</strong> and <strong>external stakeholders</strong>.<br /> Experience supporting <strong>New Product</strong> <strong>Introduction</strong> <strong>activities</strong> and <strong>product</strong> <strong>launches</strong> would be highly advantageous.<br /> <strong>Supplier Quality Engineers</strong> from <strong>automotive</strong>, <strong>white</strong> <strong>goods</strong>, <strong>industrial</strong> <strong>manufacturing</strong>, <strong>aerospace</strong>, <strong>precision</strong> <strong>engineering</strong> or other <strong>high</strong>-<strong>volume</strong> <strong>manufacturing</strong> <strong>environments</strong> are encouraged to apply.<br /> Knowledge of <strong>PPAP,</strong> <strong>APQP</strong>, <strong>FMEA</strong>, <strong>SPC</strong>, <strong>MSA</strong> and <strong>IATF</strong> <strong>16949</strong> would be beneficial, although applications are welcomed from individuals with transferable supplier quality experience gained in other manufacturing sectors.<br /> <strong>Travel</strong><br /> This is a supplier-facing role and will involve regular travel throughout the UK, Europe and internationally.

Travel is expected to include supplier visits across the UK and Europe, together with occasional long-haul travel to Asia, including China and other key supplier locations.<br /> <strong>Package</strong><br /> Salary up to<strong> £50,000 plus Company Car</strong> and <strong>benefits package</strong>.
