The Role

• Operate heavy machinery, including hostlers, top loaders, and cranes, to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive specialized yard equipment to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Stack, move, and organize containers according to daily logistics and operational needs.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all established safety protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including second shift, weekends, and holidays.
• Open availability for shifts and the ability to pass pre-employment screenings (background, physical, drug test).
