The Role

• Operate heavy machinery, including hostlers, cranes, and loaders, to move shipping containers within an intermodal yard.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring accurate and safe handling.
• Position containers and chassis within the yard, coordinating movements with operations teams.
• Conduct pre and post-operation equipment inspections to guarantee safety and functionality.
• Maintain clear communication with yard personnel and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to uphold a secure working environment.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for consideration.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
