Job Description

SEN Teacher | Birmingham, United Kingdom | Hybrid

We are seeking passionate SEN Teachers for an impactful community-focused organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Join a team committed to innovation and a child-centred approach to education.

The Role

  • Provide in-person, online, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
  • Support pupils from KS1 - KS5 with planning and delivering trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
  • Plan and report on lessons, providing regular feedback on student progress.
  • Contribute to raising the standard of education for vulnerable learners.
  • Work flexibly to suit your schedule, with opportunities for both part-time and full-time hours.

What You'll Need

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
  • A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD.
  • Familiarity with teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.
  • An enhanced DBS check (assistance provided if needed) and 2 professional references.
  • Right to work in the UK.
