QA Engineer

IDR is seeking a QA Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, Texas. This role offers the chance to work within a dynamic environment focused on technology applications used across various industries including regulated sectors like healthcare and public services. The position involves leading software testing activities, supporting large teams, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.

Position Overview for the QA Engineer:

• Perform comprehensive software testing activities including verification, validation, and reporting.
• Develop QA artifacts such as test cases, test plans, and scripts based on requirements.
• Conduct manual, automated, system, integration, and regression testing.
• Support ADA accessibility testing to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve and automate testing processes.

Requirements for the QA Engineer:

• 5+ years of experience with testing applications designed in Java and .NET.
• 8+ years of experience testing Web applications and familiarity with Cloud and SaaS.
• 8+ years of experience with various testing methodologies including Smoke, Regression, Black box, White box testing.
• 8+ years of advanced SQL query and PL SQL programming skills for application testing.
• 4+ years of experience with data testing utilizing SSIS, SSRS, ETL processes, and testing across MS SQL, Oracle, and Mainframe Data.
