The Role • Lead in the surveillance, prevention, and control of infections within the hospital setting. • Promote and maintain high standards of infection prevention and control practices to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors. • Provide evidence-based clinical advice and support related to infection prevention and control. • Act as a professional role model, driving improvements in IPC practices and delivering education to staff. • Contribute clinical expertise to ward, theatre, outpatient, or pre-operative assessment areas for 15 hours per week. What You'll Need • Registered Nurse with a degree-level education or equivalent experience. • Current NMC registration. • Teaching and Assessing qualification or equivalent experience. • Evidence of recent updates in infection prevention and control practice. • Recent experience as a registered nurse in an acute surgical care environment. • Previous experience and knowledge of infection prevention and control at ward/departmental level.
