Sales Advisor

Our client, a well known manufacturing business is looking to recruiting a confident, proactive Sales Advisor. This role would suit someone who enjoys picking up the phone, building relationships and opening doors. You will contact existing customers and warm leads, while also approaching new businesses to identify potential requirements. Your focus will be on generating and qualifying leads, then nurturing those relationships so they can be converted into sales at a later stage.

Key responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to existing customers, warm leads and prospective business customers.
• Build rapport with decision-makers and understand their manufacturing requirements.
• Identify opportunities for repeat business and introduce relevant products or services.
• Generate and qualify new leads, recording customer needs, timescales and next steps.
• Maintain regular follow-up contact to keep potential opportunities moving forward.
• Pass qualified opportunities to the sales team for quotations and conversion.
• Keep accurate records of calls, conversations and follow-up activity.
• Work towards agreed targets for call activity, qualified leads and appointments.

What we are looking for

• A confident telephone manner and the ability to start engaging business conversations.
• Experience in outbound sales, telesales, lead generation or a similar customer-facing role.
• A proactive approach to contacting new businesses and following up opportunities.
• Strong listening skills and the ability to ask questions that uncover customer needs.
• Resilience, organisation and a consistent approach to follow-up.
• A willingness to learn about manufacturing products and explain their benefits clearly.

Experience within manufacturing or business-to-business sales would be advantageous.
