Title: Project Manager 3 - Contract - Lansing, MI (Hybrid, Michigan residents only)

Location: Lansing, MI - hybrid, onsite Monday and Tuesday, remote Wednesday-Friday. Michigan residents only.

Type: Contract, 01/04/2027 - 09/30/2027, full time

Rate: $94.65/hr C2C or $87.94/hr W-2

Govan Systems is seeking a Project Manager 3 for a State of Michigan client (EPMO, Dept. of Corrections / State Police projects).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead concurrent IT projects in a multi-vendor government environment, including COTS and SaaS oversight
  • - Manage project portfolio, schedules and status reporting using Clarity PPM
  • - Manage change management and vendor/third-party contracts
  • - Manage projects with budgets over $20M in large, complex enterprise IT environments
  • Required:
  • - 8+ years as a Project Manager
  • - 8+ years managing projects with budgets over $20M
  • - 8+ years managing IT projects in a large, complex enterprise
  • - 8+ years managing vendors and third-party providers
  • - Bachelor's degree
  • - Michigan resident; onsite Monday and Tuesday in Lansing from day one
  • Preferred:
  • - PMP or other PM certification
  • - Project portfolio management tools (e.g., Clarity)
  • - State government / Corrections / public sector experience
