Power Systems Test Engineer

GE Vernova seeks a Testing Engineer to validate advanced power and grid technologies that enable the global energy transition. In this role, you will design and execute test plans for high-performance electrical and control systems used in power generation, transmission, and electrification. You'll develop automated and manual tests, analyze results, investigate failures, and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards. Working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment, you'll support commissioning, field testing, and continuous improvements that enhance reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of critical energy infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans for power and grid equipment to validate performance, reliability, and safety
• Develop automated and manual test procedures for hardware, firmware, and control systems
• Analyze test data, document results, and drive root-cause investigations for failures
• Collaborate with design, systems, and field engineering teams to refine product requirements
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry and grid standards for utilities and energy systems
• Support commissioning, field testing, and troubleshooting of deployed systems
• Continuously improve test coverage, methods, and tools to enhance product quality and speed to market
