Reverse Engineer and Offensive Cyber Developer | Laurel, MD, United States | Hybrid | $100,000 - $245,000 Annually

The Role

  • Reverse engineer software, firmware, and hardware of target systems to identify potential vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate within teams to modify device firmware and software, enabling additional functionalities or alternative communication methods.
  • Operationalize proof-of-concept code through rigorous testing, comprehensive documentation, and integration with sponsor systems.
  • Propose innovative ideas for both internal and external funding opportunities.
  • Articulate technical concepts through papers and presentations to diverse audiences, including government decision-makers, team members, and senior management.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in reverse engineering or developing offensive cyber capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of operating system fundamentals, internals, exploitation techniques, and mitigations.
  • Development experience in low-level languages such as assembly or C/C++.
  • Proficiency in using software or hardware debuggers for complex problem-solving.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret-level security clearance, with the potential for TS/SCI clearance.
