We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.

Our client seeks a Data Warehouse Developer to design, develop, and maintain relational databases for data storage and data mining.

Tasks

·        Responsible for migrating mappings, mapplets, sessions, and workflows from Informatica PowerCenter to IDMC.

·        Assist in ETL design, development, testing, maintenance, metadata, and implementation of data warehouse initiatives. Understand user requirements and implement solutions that ensure requirements can be achieved through high quality deliverables.

·        Develop ETL mapping specifications for loading information into the data warehouse and for ensuring reliability of information loaded.

·        Seek continuous improvement in performance & tuning of data warehouse and ensure security of data.

·        Works with other IT technical teams and Business users to understand requirements and recommend & implement solutions.

·        Perform data warehouse design and testing, including data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation.

·        Develop processes and procedures for entering information into data warehousing systems and for ensuring reliability of information entered.

·        Seek continuous improvement in performance of data warehouse and ensure security of data.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

·        Hands on experience migrating complex assets from Informatica PowerCenter to IDMC

·        Knowledge in data warehouse best practice standards

·        Moderate skills working with relational and dimensional data models

·        Moderate skills working with slowly changing dimensions

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of meetings with customers and technical staff

·        Knowledge and skills in the project development life cycle process (i.e., planning, analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, support)

·        Proficiency with MS Office suite, MS Visio, and MS Outlook 

·        Experience programming mainframe applications using technologies such as COBOL and DB2 databases to implement maintenance and enhance mainframe functionality

NOTE: Must be WI resident or willing to relocate at your own expense. Mostly remote but can require staff to come onsite as necessary with sufficient notice. Candidate will be required to provide their own equipment for this position.

Skills Required:

·        Experience in migration of assets from Informatica PowerCenter to IDMC, including testing, validation, and performance tuning

·        Moderate experience in data warehousing process design, development, performance & tuning using the Informatica data warehousing tool suite – both IDMC and PowerCenter

·        Developing skills in the architecture of data warehouse and data integration strategies and solutions

·        Knowledge in relational database technologies, e.g. Oracle, DB2, SQL Server and strong data management and data analysis using SQL

·        2 years - Expertise in implementation of large, complicated models and processes

·        3 years - Experience in technical writing and documentation

·        3+ years - Ability to navigate and query a relational database (Oracle) to develop reports

·        3+ years - Identify defects

·        3+ years - Ability to develop and implement quality assurance processes and procedures including test/use cases

·        3+ years - In-depth knowledge of system development life cycle deliverables for each phase of development

·        2+ years - Demonstrated experience in the design and utilization of performance measures and reports

·        3+ years - Business Objects or other BI tools
