Data Engineer

Resource 1 is seeking a Data Engineer for a fully remote contract position. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer and should have experience working with cloud platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines to collect, process, and store large volumes of data from various sources.
• Ensure data integrity, quality, and availability throughout the entire data lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain data warehouse solutions that support our business intelligence and analytics needs.
• Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from multiple sources into a cohesive data warehouse.
• Optimize and manage databases to ensure high performance, security, and scalability.
• Perform regular database maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting to resolve any issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from different systems and platforms.
• Ensure seamless data flow and synchronization between various applications and databases.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data models, schemas, and data flow diagrams.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve data processing efficiency.
• Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and provide technical support.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of data engineering experience.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and their data services.
• Ability to work independently.
