Software Engineer 3 with Security Clearance

Job Title: Software Engineer 3 Location: Redondo Beach, CA Duration: 12 months +(possible extension) Pay Range: $100 - $110/hr W2 All Inclusive Responsibilities: Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.

Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications for Engineer Software 3: 12 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree; 10 years of relevant experience with Master's degree; 8 years of relevant experience with PhD; an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree Must have the ability to obtain SCI within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company prior to start date Working knowledge of Advanced Object-Oriented programming Working knowledge of the C++ programming language Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating system

Preferred Qualifications for Engineer Software 3: DevSecOps Test Automation experience Experience with programming/scripting languages: C++, C, Java, Python, Perl Strong skills in math and algorithms Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of employees, management, and stakeholders Previous participation on an Agile scrum team or familiarity with the Agile process Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo) Experience developing in a Linux environment using git Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills Active TS/SCI security clearance
