Embedded Software Engineer | National City, CA, United States | Hybrid | $87,100.00 - $157,450.00

The Role

  • Contribute to the design and development of advanced embedded systems within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop software for various microarchitectures, including DSP, ARM, and RISC-V.
  • Create software for multi-core embedded systems, ranging from bare metal to Linux environments.
  • Build and document test plans, procedures, and software requirements specifications.
  • Write low-level code (e.g., C) to interface with hardware components and registers.
  • Validate hardware performance and operation under nominal and stress conditions.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • 4+ years of software development experience, including strong C/C++ for embedded systems.
  • Experience using Integrated Development Environments and build tools (e.g., VS Code, GCC, CMake).
  • Strong understanding of hardware-software interaction and computer architecture.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools.
  • Demonstrated ability and motivation to continually learn new technical skills.
  • Active Secret level security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
