Job Description

SEN Teacher | Chester, United Kingdom | Hybrid

The Role

  • Provide in-person, online, or hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
  • Support pupils from KS1 to KS5, planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
  • Plan and report for lessons, providing regular feedback on student progress.
  • Work with schools and local authorities to meet the educational needs of vulnerable learners.
  • Contribute to raising the standard of education for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
  • Engage with diverse learners from various community backgrounds.

What You'll Need

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS).
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD.
  • Familiarity teaching core subjects: English, Maths, and/or Science.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding principles and creating a safe learning environment.
  • UK residency and right to work in the UK.
