Job Title: Engineering Project Manager<br />Location: Rugeley<br />Salary: £DOE Key Skills: Project Manager, Engineering, Production, Manufacturing, APM, Prince2, Agile, New Product Development, Full Lifecyle Are you a driven Project Manager with a passion for leading complex engineering programmes from concept to completion? We are looking for an experienced and proactive individual to join our dynamic team, managing a portfolio of high-impact projects across the engineering and defence sectors.

The Role:

As Project Manager, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers, delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will play a pivotal role in driving performance across the full project lifecycle, from initial bid and new product development to production transition and in-service support. So, what will you be doing as a Project Manager? Lead and manage a portfolio of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and business objectives.<br />Monitor and control project performance (cost, schedule, risk), conducting regular reviews and driving corrective action where needed.<br />Coordinate cross-functional teams, tools, and resources to meet critical milestones.<br />Provide clear leadership and communication across project teams, stakeholders, and senior management.<br />Prepare accurate bids, reports, and project updates, supporting business growth and customer satisfaction.<br />Inspire and motivate your team by setting direction, creating a shared vision, and fostering a collaborative working environment.<br />Support the Programmes Director/Manager in broader departmental initiatives as needed.What are we looking for in our next Project Manager? Proven experience delivering full-lifecycle projects in an engineering, manufacturing, or systems integration environment.<br />Strong background in New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Product Development (NPD).<br />Degree qualified in Engineering, Business, or a related field.<br />APM qualified (or equivalent project management certification).<br />Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills.<br />Commercially astute with a customer-centric approach.<br />Familiarity with project management software and ERP systems (e.g., IFS).<br />Experience in the Defence or Maritime sector is highly desirable.<br />Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally overseas.Why Join Us?
