Network Architect | Farnborough, United Kingdom | Hybrid | £44,700.00 - £57,300.00

The Role

  • Lead network management and service acceptance activities, establishing technical standards and providing expert guidance.
  • Design, validate, and assure network solutions within secure environments using formal verification principles.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
  • Support the ongoing operation and continuous improvement of live network services, ensuring high availability and compliance.
  • Manage and resolve complex network incidents, driving them to successful closure.
  • Communicate effectively across technical, organisational, and customer interfaces, including in security-constrained settings.

What You'll Need

  • Strong experience with data centre and campus networking technologies, including Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, and F5/Citrix.
  • In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, Static) and switching technologies (VLAN, STP, LACP).
  • Experience implementing and supporting AAA services (e.g., TACACS+) in secure or regulated environments.
  • Proven experience operating high-availability data centre networks.
  • Hands-on experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Panorama).
  • Good working knowledge of Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
